Dalton the Founder

Founder · Advisor · Husband · Dad

Someone inyour cornerwhen it counts.

Business, money, family, freedom, and building a life worth living. I work privately with a small number of people who make the decisions.

“Someone I could consistently rely on for sound judgment, thoughtful perspective, and a high standard of execution… navigating ambiguity and solving challenges where the path forward is not always immediately clear.”

What all of this is for

There's a whole life out there.

I love building businesses. I like making money. I like ambitious people, solving problems, and seeing what happens when you take an idea seriously.

But none of that is the point by itself.

I'm a husband and a dad. I want to build businesses and still be there for my family. I want to take the trip, walk around Disney on a random afternoon, and make memories while my kids are still kids.

I'm not trying to escape work. I'm trying to build a life where work isn't the only thing I'm proud of.

And I want that for you, too. Whatever your version looks like: the trip you keep putting off, the dinners at home, the game you don't miss, the afternoon that's just yours. Your business should make room for that, not swallow it.

That's a big part of why I do this. Helping you build something that works, so you can actually go enjoy what it's for.

So go live yours.

01 — The arrangement

You don't have to figure everything out alone.

Everyone has people who need something from them. But when you're the one making the decisions, it can be hard to know who you can actually talk to.

  • /01

    Bring the decision.

The hire, the pivot, the partnership, the exit — the call you keep circling.

  • /02

    Bring the problem.

The messy middle, where the path forward isn't immediately clear.

  • /03

    Bring the opportunity.

The idea you can't stop thinking about, before you commit to it.

  • /04

Bring the thing you've been avoiding.

The conversation you know you need to have. Let's have it first.

We'll talk it through. I'll tell you what I think. We'll decide what happens next. And I'm going to ask you about it again.

I advise. You decide. You execute.

02 — How I think

Experience → Judgment → Perspective → Trust.

/01

Experience

Fifteen-plus years across entrepreneurship, technology, cybersecurity, government and defense, healthcare, and operations. I've built, operated, and exited businesses of my own.

/02

Judgment

Work in environments where decisions matter taught me to weigh competing priorities, assess risk honestly, and make practical calls.

/03

Perspective

I get into the room, listen, ask questions, connect dots, and help figure out what should happen next.

/04

Trust

The relationships that matter most to me have lasted years. That's the point.

03 — Private advisory

A retainer relationship, not a one-time call.

I work with a small number of people on retainer. Over time I understand your business, your goals, your history, and the calls you've already made. When something happens, you don't have to explain your whole life to a stranger.

/01

We decide.

We talk it through, I tell you what I think, and you make the call. Then we agree on what happens next.

/02

I don't disappear after the decision.

Making the decision is only part of it. Once we decide what happens next, I'm going to ask you about it again.

/03

We learn and adjust.

Because the relationship continues, we look at what actually happened and make the next decision with more context.

What do I actually get?

  • Direct access to me.
  • A private place to bring decisions, problems, opportunities, ideas, and the things you're stuck on.
  • Ongoing context. You don't start over every conversation.
  • My honest perspective and judgment.
  • Follow-through on the decisions and commitments we make.
  • Conversations and calls when they're actually useful.
  • A relationship that continues, not isolated sessions.

What I don't do

  • Become your employee
  • Manage your calendar
  • Run your team
  • Act as your project manager
  • Work through your task list

I advise. You decide. You execute.

You're not buying hours, and it isn't 24/7 on call. It's a relationship.

04 — Who this is for

This might be for you if…

You probably don't need another consultant. You may not need another employee. You might just need someone experienced who knows your story, understands what you're trying to build, and isn't afraid to tell you what they really think.

  • You're a founder, owner, or leader carrying real responsibility.
  • You're facing a business or life decision that matters.
  • Everyone comes to you for answers, and you're not sure who you get to talk to.
  • You want to build something big without missing your life doing it.

The details matter

Family first. Always.

06 — Loyalty

I'm built for the long term.

The best relationships aren't transactional. When I'm in your corner, I stay there, through the good calls, the bad ones, and everything that comes after. The people I work with keep coming back, and so do I.

“I've been working with Dalton for over 3 years now. I have to credit a lot of my growth and success to his help. This has been a major game-changer for me. He has helped me become who I am today.”
